Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Stopper to join our team. The Fire Stopper will be responsible for installing fire-resistant materials to prevent the spread of fire within buildings. This role requires a combination of carpentry, masonry, electrical, and other technical skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Install fire-resistant materials such as fire barriers, fireproofing sprays, and firestop sealants
- Read and interpret blueprints and building codes to ensure proper installation
- Use power tools to cut and shape materials
- Work with various tradespeople to coordinate fire-stopping efforts
- Inspect existing fire protection systems and recommend repairs or upgrades
**Requirements**:
- Experience in carpentry, masonry, electrical work, or related fields
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to plumb, weld, paint, and fabricate materials
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Pay: £180.00-£195.00 per day
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
