**Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Advisor - Construction / M&E Building Services sector**

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join a successful, privately owned, and highly respected Mechanical and Electrical Building Services contractor based in South East London.

With a turnover approaching £60m, our client provides Mechanical and Electrical Building Services from design, through to supply, installation and commissioning to various sectors including Commercial, Banks, Data Centres, and Office fit-out.

The main purpose of this role is to monitor and support the HSEQ compliance of multiple projects line with legal, regulatory and business requirements. 4 days onsite or office and 1 day working from home.

**Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Advisor**

The HSEQ Advisor role is spent primarily on sites as the eyes, ears and voice of HSEQ within the business. Conducting internal audits, attending site meetings and supporting the site teams in ensuring the Health and Safety of those at risk from work.

Some of this can be done from home but most of the work requires site presence and occasionally working out of normal working hours. This is a multi-site business with the majority of the projects happening in London. Frequent travel to these sites is a key part of the role.

The HSEQ advisor is the main contact for the site teams and a trusted colleague on HSEQ matters. The role requires close working relationships with project managers and front line workers. Ensuring they have all the support they need to effectively manage HSEQ on their sites.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support local management with the HSEQ of multiple projects
- Identify and initiate improvements to HSEQ
- Provide guidance, advice and direction to resolve any major issue and satisfy business HSEQ requirements
- Support management in the development of Health and Safety related documents such as risk assessments and construction phase plans
- Manage and investigate all incidents and accidents occurring within your scope
- Plan, monitor and control the internal audit programme for HSEQ
- Manage and review the management system that is within your scope
- Ensure that HSEQ standards are consistently achieved, maintained and reported through regular communications
- Ensure that all invoicing and ordering is passed through line management for central processing
- To work as part of HSEQ team to support the business needs

**Experience and Qualifications Required**:

- A minimum of 3 years supporting HSEQ management in a multi-site business
- Experience working in a construction or M&E related industry
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Technical Member of IOSH (preferred)
- ISO Internal Auditing Certificate (preferred)

- Base salary: £50k - £60k depending on experience
