Position Summary
This position will be stripping down a Class 222 train back, replacing Electrical and Mechanical items. Competency testing all newly installed components. You will be expected to complete Electrical and Mechanical re-fits from written work instruction, BatteryChargers, Pressure Switches and underframe items on Rolling Stock. You will also be expected to remove and replace the interiors to access electrical items. You'll be expected to test and inspect all replaced components with a fluke meter, so you must be competentin this area. This is a Safety Critical position and is a requirement against the Service Agreement (SA).
This could also include the following:
Rip out and replace lighting
Rip out and replace full or part of large wiring looms
Re-install wiring
Bogie drops
Test Continuity
Heavy mechanical component changes
Battery Modifications
Heavy maintenance work
Repairing or installing Wi-Fi systems
Changing relay boxes
Wiper motors
Person Profile/Experience:
Previous Rail experience is preferred but not essential. Ability to understand complex schematic drawings is a must.
