A leading independent publisher is looking for a switched-on Ecommerce Manager for a 10-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. This is a hybrid role based in London and requires someone with excellent written and verbal skills, exceptional organisationalskills, and the ability to work independently, as well as alongside the company’s marketing team. This is a part-time role, working 2.5-3 days a week and offers hybrid working, ideally with 1 day in the London office.

This highly interesting role will be responsible for the successful management of the company’s ecommerce operations, including both their direct sales and the company’s Book Club. The Ecommerce Manager will oversee the customer service provision, makingsure that the organisation’s ecommerce system runs smoothly, monitoring and resolving any tech issues with their web development team, and reporting and analysing ecommerce and customer-experience data to develop and improve the customer user experience andcustomer relationships.

We are looking for a motivated individual who has proven experience of working with and managing ecommerce operations and managing customer service for ecommerce, including helpdesk software. Ideally, you will have some experience of resolving distributionissues along with experience of working with a technical team to resolve problems. Strong IT skills are required, including a good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office, along with great organisation and communication skills. A knowledge of or experienceof working with subscription services would be a bonus but is not essential.
