**Purpose**:
Manchester United Foundation believes every young person should feel empowered to achieve their goals and uses the power of football and Manchester United to support young people to make positive choices in their live.
This new role is a key function within the Girls Academy (RTC), which has the vision of creating the most successful talent development programme in girls’ football by revolutionising the way the game is learnt and played.
The main purpose of the role is to identify and recruit players who demonstrate Manchester United potential through developing trusted relationships with key networks and partners.

**The Role**:

- Identifying and recruiting players with the girls’ leagues who meet the criteria and have the potential to represent Manchester United Girls Football Academy (RTC)
- Develop expertise and knowledge of the girl’s grassroots game in the Northwest
- Liaise with the Technical Director and Head Scout about the identification of talented individuals and their introduction to the Academy
- To have an awareness of all scouting protocols implemented by the recruitment department
- Ensure contact networks are built, extended, and serviced regularly therefore promoting the football club and its values
- To keep up to date records of recommended players to enable effective tracking, monitoring, and reporting thereafter

- To want to make a positive difference to young people
- Hard working, enthusiastic and dependable
- People Skills (Self-assured, build rapport, empathise with others, emotionally intelligent, approachable).
- Understanding of Safeguarding best practice
- Knowledge of implementing policies and procedures, especially health and safety and risk assessments

**Knowledge**
- Of the Girls game and standard of RTC football
- Local football clubs and league

**Experience**
- Proven ability of engaging with a range of partners (clubs) to build strong relationships.
- Having done a scouting role before

**Skills**
- Recognise future potential talent
- Emotional and social intelligence to engage club coaches and parents

**Qualifications**
- A full UK driving licence with access to own car for business use
- FA Talent Identification Award
- FA Safeguarding Certificate
