To provide an effective service to Colposcopy and Womens Health service by assisting in the day to day running of the clinics held within the Colposcopy Unit, providing comprehensive administration and clerical support required for the maintenance of all clinics. Work in a team-based environment within the Colposcopy Unit providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service. Maintain accuracy and legibility of patient records in accordance with Trust policy. Input and update data on the PAS system To be responsible for registering, recording and making patient appointments as necessary adhering to the Trusts policies.

To report all patient activity and outcomes within designated clinics to comply with meeting payment by results Ensure that the Outpatient Meet and Greet guidelines are adhered to comply with checking the patients demographics Answer the telephone in a courteous and timely manner. Ensure accuracy in giving and receiving messages and dealing with enquiries from patients and staff. Return, reserve, collect and track case notes to registration department/ appropriate secretary, adhering to the case note policy. Ensure all notes have the appropriate paper work required, are correctly labelled and placed in the patients notes.

To file all patient information, reports and results accurately in their health records. Notes to be organised according to clinic times in the appropriate filling system, with pre-printed clinic templates. To sort and distribute post daily. To be responsible for the maintenance of patient records in accordance with the Data Protection Act/ Confidentiality.

Make follow up appointments as required, if possible while patient is waiting. For new referral Did Not Attend appointments make new appointments and send out to patient. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team including medical staff, Operations staff, secretaries and x-ray (ultrasound) department, Participate in an annual appraisal with relevant reviews and follow your personal development plan as agreed with your line manager. Work to eliminate avoidable infection by working according to Infection control policies Report any concerns or problems to your line manager.

Undertake all mandatory training. Have a functional knowledge of Trust Policies and Procedures and how to access these Ensure that patients are informed of clinic delays and the reason for the delay Ensure an adequate supply of paperwork and forms for patient notes. Minimise the risk of harm to patients, staff and visitors by working according to the Trust risk management policy Provide occasional administrative support to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit
