Production Operative - Multi Skilled

4 on 4 off rotation days/nights shift pattern - 6am-6pm/6pm-6am
£31,097.16
Interaction is recruiting for a Multi Skilled Production Operative for our client based in Wellingborough. Working for a recycling company recycling end of life uPVC windows and doors.
Working closely with window fabricators and installers as well as waste companies throughout the UK.

**Duties**:
× Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through
× leadership of all phases of production.
× Optimise production performance in all phases to ensure that production targets are achieved
× in accordance with standard operating procedures
× Support the Production Supervisor and Production Manager with regular communication and
× clear handovers to ensure continuous improvement and continuity between shifts

**Responsibilities**:
× Multi Skilled Operative trained and capable of safely performing all production roles (P1.P2.P3.P4 Extruder and Quality) including deputising for the Production Supervisor
× Ability to transfer between all production roles daily
× Work safely by following the SOP and procedures
× Complete a visual safety inspection of the equipment prior to operation
× Operate the machinery and monitor it continuously to optimise running conditions.
× Support the Production Supervisor with continuous improvement throughout the shift, reporting progress and track improvements.
× Identification, weighing and recording of regrind and waste streams and the correct disposal of waste stream materials
× Operation of PLC driven control system, for the purpose of optimising the production process, and diagnostic checks noting faults and reporting to production and maintenance supervision
× Record the weights on the production documentation and bulk bag
× Support initiatives to ensure mínimal waste and improve housekeeping during production
Person Specification:
× Essential FLT Licence - Counterbalance
× 360 cranes
× Telehandler
Required Knowledge:
× Production Operative background - 1-2 years
× Ability to work across multiple areas of the production process
× Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime and re-work
× Passionate about continuous improvement
× Self-starter who likes to take proactive initiative
× Excellent timekeeping and attendance
× Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
× Display both a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude
× Strong attention to detail
