**Job Type**: - Full-time Permanent

Working Pattern: Flexible and Hybrid working with time spent between the office in Durham and the office in Ashington

**Salary**: up to £40,000

Are you an experienced Procurement Specialist looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a driven and detail orientated individual to join their procurement team on a permanent basis. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Source and purchase goods and services
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issue that may arise
- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company polices and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software
