**How you'll make a difference**:

- As Lead Officer - Regulatory Oversight you will be responsible for driving the Council’s preparation activities associated with four inspection frameworks within the Department for People.- These frameworks outline the external assessment by Ofsted and/or CQC of the performance and impact of our services; the output of these inspections is publicly available. In this exciting new role, you will have lead accountability for ensuring the evidence provided as part of an inspection is accurate and up to date.**What will you be doing ?**
- It will be your responsibility to maintain up to date knowledge of the four inspection frameworks, alerting colleagues to regularly published changes and putting steps in place to address the requirements.
- Daily you will build effective communication and strong working relationships with service leaders and key stakeholders across the department as well as health and police colleagues.
- By working closely with the relevant teams, you will facilitate a clear understanding within the department of the required evidence for each of the four inspections and then liaise with a wide range of managers to ensure the evidence bank for each inspection is kept up to date and version controlled through your meticulous attention to detail.
- You will responsible for providing templates, tools and processes for use during each inspection, developing and updating these in line with best practice.
- During an inspection, you will act as a core member of the inspection coordination team, overseeing all aspects of the process, including arranging the timetables and ensuring all evidence is of the correct standard.

- We require you to hold a degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- You will have excellent planning and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and drive to complete a wide range of activities
- Ideally, you will have considerable experience in managing and leading projects.
- You must be able to work flexibly to meet strict deadlines, managing a complex workload and prioritise accordingly.
- Given the elements of this role, you will need to have excellent communication, engagement and influencing skills.
- You will have knowledge of relevant national policy and legislation relating to the public sector.
