HR Generalist

Human Resources Department

The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as an HR Generalist in our Human Resource Department. Reporting to a Senior HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist will be responsible for working as part of a team to actively engage in activities that support the strategic direction of the Authority in managing talent acquisition, talent development and the coordination of employee benefits. All tasks and activities must be executed in accordance with established BMA and Departmental policies and procedures and with strict confidence.

**The duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Participating in the recruitment and selection of vacancies (including Graduate Trainees), particularly regarding compliance with the Employment Act 2000 and all related legislation. This will include the execution of interviews and testing
- Preparing advertisements (print and media) for all vacant positions within the BMA and both locally and overseas, including the maintenance of the HRIS job posting function
- Facilitating and coordinating supporting documentation for the Department of Immigration and processing of ad hoc immigration requests (i.e. landing permits, dependent entry/re-entry permits), professional references, security vetting, and relevant compensation documentation
- Responsible for the production of statements of employment, addendums and all other confidential employee documentation
- Assisting with the coordination of the onboarding process (travel, hotel, accommodations, employee handbook, processing of new hire documentation, setting up of e-learning, etc.)
- Drafting job descriptions, letter templates, statistical reporting, and facilitating health insurance documentation and information management
- Ensuring preparation and processing of requisitions in a timely manner and in accordance with established departmental and organisational procedures
- Coordinating the preparation of departmental budgets, forecasts and monthly account reconciliations for allocated areas

**This position requires a skilled individual who possesses**:

- A Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in HR, Business or a related field
- HR Certification, or the process of obtaining a recognised HR certification, is an advantage
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant Human Resource Management experience
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
