We are looking for a Research Assistant to provide support for establishing a tissue culture setup to study protein homeostasis in haematopoiesis and blood disorders.

**The Opportunity**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Alpi lab at the Institute of Cell Biology, School of Biological Sciences. The main focus of the work will be on unravelling the intricate interplay of the Ubiquitin Proteasome System and metabolism in haematopoiesis and related blood malignancies, using primary cell culture systems, biochemistry, and a wide range of cell biology approaches.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Qualifications in a relevant discipline of biological/biomedical sciences (cell biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, etc.) with a period of relevant practical work experience in a laboratory.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and in good English, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills. Good organization skills and time management.
