We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team to oversee the financial processing of transactions and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner..

**Salary**:

- £28,000-£30,000 per annum. Permanent position after successful probation period

Working Hours:

- Full Time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm

Financial Analyst

Role and responsibilities will include the following:

- Managing daily financial accounting efficiently to maintain a healthy cashflow and reporting weekly to the Director
- Purchase ledger management and arranging supplier payments
- Sales ledger management and providing accurate customer invoices
- Credit control of any overdue payments
- Reconciliation of bank accounts/business credit cards
- Processing prepayments and accruals
- Accounting journals
- Production of Month End Reporting with commentary and resolutions of any key issues that arise to the Financial Controller and Director
- Collating sales commissions
- Reporting the payroll monthly to our external Accountants
- Reconciling supplier costs and services/ P&L analysis
- Maintaining a portfolio of products with up-to-date accurate costs and sell prices
- Processing customer card payments and Direct Debit Mandates via BACS services
- Maintaining good business relationships with our suppliers, sub-contractors and customers
- Knowledge of Xero accounting platform is advantageous, but training can be provided
- Liaising with accountants to ensure HMRC and statutory compliance deadlines are met
- Completion of the quarterly VAT returns
- Developing accounting systems and processes to improve business efficiency
- Ideally someone with previous experience as a Financial Analyst,
- Possess AAT Level 4 or equivalent accounting qualifications
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Attention to detail
