**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**JOB TITLE**:Receptionist

**PURPOSE OF POST**To assist and ensure the reception department is manned efficiently and effectively. To maintain the highest level of service delivery throughout the operation. To ensure customer expectations are met and where possible exceeded.

**RESPONSIBLE TO**: Head Receptionist

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To be aware of and to comply with company and legal requirements including health, safety and hygiene.
2. To ensure that departmental procedures and work instructions are implemented and maintained and that any changes are communicated effectively.

- To ensure that all related shifts are conducted efficiently and effectively in order to meet customer requirements.
- To ensure that all relevant information is effectively communicated to all departments within the Centre.
- To support the Head Receptionist and Deputy Head Receptionist in the running of the department.
- To support the finance aspect of the department with payments and invoices.
- To ensure all financial aspects and procedures are followed with counting safes, ensuring floats of the different departments are correct and secure, issuing of floats and credit card machines, ensuring shift finances and the data put into the system arecorrect.
- To ensure parcels and letters are recorded and processed correctly.
- To follow all procedures for reception including reservations, check ins, check outs and payments for Mitchell Hall hotel.

- To support and assist with the student accommodation department in the check in and signing of student tenancies.
- To support the accommodation team with student enquiries.
- To support both the Accommodation team and housekeeping teams by liaising with student check outs, lost keys and maintenance reporting.
- To assist with the responsibly for student smart card processing and ensure all information is accurate for the accounts department.
- To support and assist the space allocation and sales team with bookings and enquiries.
- To support and assist the reception at the Cranfield Conference Centre Limited.
- To carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team.
