**Forklift Truck Operative - Nelson - £11.44 per hour**

**About the role**

The purpose of this role is to support with incoming deliveries by loading and unloading goods and transporting these to the designated location through the use of a Forklift Truck. Throughout this you will be responsible for ensuring your compliance with food safety standard and health and safety standards and procedures.

**What you will do**:
**Health and Safety / Food Safety**:

- Ensuring the hygiene standards are at all times performed to BRC accreditation and to our own high GMP standards.
- Adhere to SOP and safety training.
- Have knowledge of company and statutory Health and Safety, security and emergency procedures.

**Warehouse Yard Operation**:

- Unload goods from incoming internal and external deliveries.
- Safely relocate deliveries to their designated storage areas through the use of a Forklift Truck.
- Ensure the Forklift Truck operating areas remain free from spillages and obstructions.
- Safely manoeuvre a Forklift Truck in a busy Yard environment in line with relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
- Undertake daily checks on the Forklift Trucks to ensure they remain free from faults and damage.
- Follow clean as you go principles and adherence to good manufacturing practices at all times.

**What you will need**:

- Current Forklift Truck Operator licence.
- Ability to operate and control heavy machinery in a safe manner.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised with a collaborative approach.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work with flexibility and professionally.
