**£24,205 per year**

We have an excellent opportunity for a transport clerk to join the team for our well established logistics client based in Coventry.

Role Summary
The transport team has administrative control of the movement of our customer/supplier volume and facilitates the allocation of equipment and loads to, and the despatch, monitoring and debrief of, drivers, agency drivers and contract hauliers.

**Responsibilities and Objectives**:

- To ensure that the despatching/loading module is kept up to date in accordance with the site processes
- Efficiently and accurately dispatch deliveries with any relevant delivery paperwork or other required information
- To utilise customer systems to update despatch or delivery information where required
- Monitor the return of empty equipment from deliveries
- To ensure the delivery point and any necessary customer or 3rd party contact are made aware of late deliveries or loading delays
- Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival at site as required
- Liaise with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site Procedures before entering site, when required

**Experience**:

- Some experience in a similar role
- Good level of numeracy
- Good standard of literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
