VSWD is a small family business that started in 2015 and is continually growing. We supply commercial vehicle safety and warning LED Lighting & other products in the UK and around the world. Our success is built on our customer service, reputation, and our relationships with our customers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a team member to take on the warehouse tasks in the business. We would like to offer this role through an Apprenticeship Program. Here is what the program/qualification covers.
**The Content**
Supply Chain Warehouse Operatives will develop the following skills, knowledge and behaviours:

- Operate and handle equipment safely and efficiently

- Select, prepare and use packaging materials appropriately

Course length - 14 months
The job role would be the process from the stock arriving, picking orders and despatching them and everything else in the warehouse in between. You will have the opportunity to undertake a wide range of duties including:
- Picking and packing orders
- Taking deliveries
- Arrange freight for despatching orders
- Liaising with freight forwarders
- Learning product knowledge to assist customers
- Testing and checking warranty returns
- Health & safety in the warehouse
- Stock take and stock rotation
- Keeping warehouse clean and tidy
An attitude and determination for exceeding customer expectations is essential and a willingness to work as part of a team to achieve outstanding results. We are a small business and so we all get involved in various tasks and duties as and when required. We are looking for someone to be part of that team.
Part of this role is moving and lifting boxes so can be physically demanding at times, such as when a large delivery arrives but that is only once or twice a month. We all help at these times and we all follow the manual handling safety guidelines.
As we grow there is the potential for the hours to increase in this role.
