We are looking to recruit a Lead Operative Mentor (Working Foreman).

As a Working Foreman, you will ensure the compliant delivery and safety conscious supervision of all Planned, Responsive, Cyclical and Voids related and associated works delegated by the Trade Supervisor or Contracts Manager from inception through to handover, including resident satisfaction and quality assurance in the work.

You will also support and develop the up skilling of team members and mentor the HPS apprentices and participate and lead as required at team meetings and toolbox talks.

**Duties of a Lead Operative Mentor**:

- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for all projects and liaise with both the CDMC and HPS Quality Health and Safety Team. To complete health and safety audits as required.
- Work with the Trade Supervisor to undertake investigations in relation to Health and Safety Incidents or were there may have been breaches of discipline in relation to our Policies or procedures.
- Carry out pre and post inspection of works as required
- Instruct and co-ordinate sub-contractors, suppliers and directly employed operatives in the work, providing challenge where appropriate to deliver continual improvement.
- Work directly with all members of the HPS service teams which include Electrical, Gas, Refurbishment and Cyclical works, Responsive Repairs, and voids, to ensure a joined up approach and ensure that we coordinate our resources to achieve Value for Money in the works being undertaken.
- Challenge working processes to roll in greater efficiencies, demonstrating better value for money through knowledge and data.
- Assist Trade Supervisors with completing trade staff 121 meetings.
- Participate in the Duty Managers out of hour’s service delivery on a rota basis ensuring issues are responded to promptly and an efficient service is delivered to customers.

**Other duties**:

- Provide a responsive and professional trade skill service to residents ensuring internal and external work sites are adequately protected, respecting resident privacy and property at all times, ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered.
- Undertake any required repairs to maintain high levels of professional image, safety security and working condition of The Hyde Group properties (including vehicles and tools) in compliance with current policies and procedures.
