Are you an Account Handler with proven knowledge and experience in the commercial insurance sector, seeking a new opportunity which will allow you to take ownership of a book of business? If so, we have a brilliant new opportunity available working for a brokerage in South Manchester.
THE ROLE:
Working as an Account Handler in the commercial insurance arena, you will be responsible for managing a book of cross-class commercial business dealing with SME level clients. As Account Handler you will be wholly responsible for managing clients' insurance needs and providing a top class service at all times.
Key responsibilities for the Account Handler position include, but are not limited to:

- Managing a book of cross-class commercial insurance business.
- Liaising directly with clients to truly understand their insurance needs and ensure requisite cover is provided. Asking the right questions and listening to their needs.
- Dealing with renewals and mid-term adjustments.
- Negotiating with insurers to secure the best possible deal for your clients.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Proven commercial insurance experience in an Account Handler capacity.
- Strong working knowledge across a range of commercial products.
- Have excellent communication and client management skills, able to provide an exquisite service at all times and develop relationships with an array of people.
- Will be an effective negotiator, with good organisational and time management skills.
- Experience in using the Acturis system is preferable, albeit not an essential requirement.

Our client operates a hybrid-working policy, with a split between working from home and their South Manchester office. They will also support with and sponsor any insurance exams, allowing you the opportunity to undertake your Cert CII and beyond.
