This is an exciting opportunity to join a global implementation science team researching children, adolescents, and families, led by Professor Tamsen Rochat, in the Department of Psychology at Faculty of Health and Education at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Our research investigates and intervenes to disrupt the bio-psycho-social mechanisms involved in poor mental health outcomes for children, adolescents and families facing high adversity and inequality. The team currently conducts research in the UK and in 11 low and middle income counteries and Professor Rochat leads several longitudinal cohorts in South Africa focused on the role of cognition and other bio-psycho-social mechanisms in childhood onset of mental health problems.

The Department of Psychology is a vibrant, active team with a national and international reputation in teaching, research, and educational excellence. Our broader research in psychology aims to help people to live healthier lives, no matter the challenges they face and to addresses the challenges of an ageing population and supports people to thrive in today's fast-paced, digital society. We have four areas of research focus:

- _Performance in Demanding Environments_
- _Neuroscience of Ageing and Impaired Mobility_
- _Health-related Behaviour Change_

**About the role**

Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the team to support the coordination of research across several international studies, to be involved in development and dissemination of research outputs linked to those studies, and to participate in grant writing to support implementation science.

You will have a doctoral degree in psychology, public health, epidemiology, or related field with a research profile with an upward trajectory and knowledge of child, adolescent, and family mental health research. Evidence of advanced training in statistical analysis and/or epidemiology would be an advantage. Active engagement with research and evidence of publications, or experience in clinical practice are essential requirements for successful applicants to this post.
