We have partnered with a market-leading unified commerce platform that enables retail and hospitality brands to sell to customers flexibly and consistently, wherever they are and however they choose to shop.

This role is suitable for any DevOps professional who has a solid engineering background, holds a strong understanding of GCP and has hands-on experience working within a DevOps team/culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and mentor the DevOps Guild which is their DevOps skill/career family.
- Work closely with the CTO, Senior Vice President of Engineering, Head of Software Architecture and Director of Engineering to embed DevOps practices into engineering.
- Deliver working product (IaC) to SRE and pair and support SRE engineers to improve their IaC skill sets
- Advocate DevOps practices, and strategy to enable improved automation
- Act as mentor to architects and engineers that are keen to develop skills and certifications in GCP
- Analyse and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Focus on the transformation of the engineering build process/pipeline to improve the pace of software delivery.

**Requirements**:

- Previous leadership experience
- Be an expert in DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code and Jenkins at a hands-on level
- Production experience of GCP (strong preference), Azure or AWS
- CI/CD development (Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines)
- IaC automation Terraform/Ansible/Salt
- Container deployments (Helm, ArgoCD, K8, K3, Serverless)
- Working with Java (8,11,17) technologies (Tomcat, spring, JS, Maven, Fabric8)
- GCP Certification is advantageous
