We are looking for caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun and positive individuals. As a Bank member of staff you will cover staff leave, training, sickness and any other staff absences. Bank contracts are ideal for people who need the extra money and can't find childcare everyday. As a Bank staff member you choose what days you work, and you can work full time or part time hours, depending on your preference. The Senior Support Worker, who is responsible for the rota, will contact you to see if you are available to help out. As you are not required to do shifts, you can pick and choose the hours/shifts that suit you and work around your other commitments.

**Requirements**:
As a Bank Support Practitioner you could be expected to work weekends, shift patterns and sleepovers if required.

**About the Role**:
Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support and can include:

- ** Social Support**:

- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
- ** Medical Support**:

- Administering and monitoring medication.
- ** Personal Care**:

- Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.
- ** Practical Support**:

- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.

We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse and autism. Some of the people we support can present challenging behaviour or require a high level of personal care.
