**Contract Term: 12 Months**
**Contracting Authority: AWE**
**Location: Aldermaston - Hybrid, 2 days in the office**
**This role requires active SC CLEARANCE.**
What if you could work on something that you can’t testbut cannot afford to fail? Something that could have spent years on a submarine, is launched into outer space (where the temperature is below -250c), comes hurtling through the atmosphere, being heated up and shaken and then must work? AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. Working to support the defence of our country, AWE has a clear mission: to keep everyone, the environment, their products and information, sites, and everything around them, safe and secure.
**As a HR Administrator, your main responsibilities would be to**:
- Maintain workload and case trackers to enable the reporting of service performance and identification of improvements.
- Ensure the HR Information System is accurately updated and transactions are processed in a timely fashion.
- Ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate and in accordance with approved templates.
- Deliver routine scheduled activities.
- Escalate issues in accordance with the relevant escalation process in a timely fashion.
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external colleagues and customers, ensuring process hand-offs are properly executed.
- Support ad hoc project work, Company and HR initiatives, providing administrative services and, on occasion, face to face support.
- Assist in the testing and maintenance of the HRIS.
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and peak workload demands.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest changes to enhance services, systems or address issues and actively participate in process improvement activity.
- Ensure HR related documentation (hard copy and electronic) is appropriately handled, managed and retained in compliance with data privacy regulations, including the archiving process; and ensure all correspondence and documentation produced is accurate, using approved templates.
- Ensure local work instructions are followed to maintain process compliance and quality.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and that the appropriate Company classifications are applied.
- Maintain understanding of up to date employment regulations, applicable laws and Company policy.

- Administrative background
- Deliver high quality, timely and accurate transactional HR services within SLA requirements.
- Someone who is comfortable with being on the phone.
- Computer literate - spreadsheets, workday, word and excel.
- Recruitment background (Desirable)
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
- Self-driven.
- Well organised and good communication skills.
- Relationship Building.
- GDPR complaint background.
