The Credit Controller will be responsible for:
- Manage and maintain relationships with clients.
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Raising credit notes, ensuring they are correctly allocated to invoices
- Cash allocation
- Minimise debtor days
- Issuing customer statements
- Monitor and control the company's credit exposure.
- Liaising with external debt collection specialists where required
- Query resolution
- Placing accounts on hold where required
- Conduct credit checks on all customers, establish and manage credit limits.
- Producing aged debt reports
- Attending regular review calls/meetings
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- A proven track record within a similar role
- Strong numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- A working knowledge of credit control procedures.
- An understanding of the retail industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work well within a team.
