Overview:
We are expanding our Travel Insurance Claims team and we are looking to hire a Team Leader to join us at our Ipswich Waterfront Offices.
As a Team Leader, responsible for overseeeing a team of Claims Professionals you'll possess a comprehensive understanding of the claims process and serve as a point of reference for your team, offering support and guidance. Your responsibilities will include managing client expectations, fostering staff development, and setting a positive example for others. Additionally, you will oversee the daily operations of the team.
We are specifically seeking people who excel in communication, possess technical expertise and knowledge in insurance claims, and who are supportive and encouraging individuals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee team members to ensure Service Level Agreements are complied with
- Ensure team has knowledge of Service Instructions and Policy Wordings
- Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met, attending review meetings where appropriate
- Provide training and facilitate development of team in accordance with Gallagher Bassett Learning & Development Prospectus
- Timely completion of appraisal process
- Respond promptly to complaints where required
- Ensure procedures are followed to maintain a high quality of claims handling
- Complete regular quality assurance checks of your teams work to ensure minimum standards are being met
- Assist Branch Manager in general office administration to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Actively participate in the Gallagher Bassett training programme
- Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous Team Leader experience within a regulated environment
- Supports and encourages client service
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise and knowledge within the manager's scope of responsibility
- Has a clear understanding of Gallagher Bassett's Best Practices and drives to achieve them each and every day
- Exhibits listening skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Creates a positive work environment, treats others with respect, takes responsibility for developing others and inspires people to perform at their highest level
- Possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of Gallagher Bassett's business objectives and how to implement them. This is combined with the ability to make sound decisions and execute accordingly based on that knowledge and understanding
- Proactive in all learning and development opportunities, and expected to study and obtain CII qualifications in line with the Gallagher Bassett L&D Policies
