About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Strategic Planning & Project Team

You will make an impact on brand change redesigns, innovations, cost reduction initiatives, Pack Sustainability, and capex.

You will be the gatekeeper of change at the site; collaborating closely with our Technical Centre on the assessment of new materials, specifications, and suppliers, conducting comprehensive trials on all new material changes to ensure no impact on performance, carrying out robust and clear trial reporting and sign off and developing project risk assessments / mitigations and action plans.

You must have the confidence to challenge when necessary and although no direct line reporting, coaching and influencing skills must be demonstrated in addition to resilience - as the role will involve the engagement of multifunctional departments to find the best, most robust solutions.

About you

First and foremost, we are looking for somebody who is passionate about what they do, but any experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment with hands on solid understanding of packaging materials and equipment would stand you in great stead for this role.

Ideally, you will come from an operations or technical role, but suitable manufacturing experience will be considered.

Proactive structured problem-solving skills learnt through exposure to DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or Manufacturing excellence.

Good understanding/awareness of Lean Manufacturing, techniques, and terminology.

You need to be a confident communicator and happy to have challenging conversations with a wide variety of internal and external partners.

Completer-finisher Ability to influence various key stakeholders at multiple levels within and out with the organisation.

Qualifications such as a NEBOSH or anything relevant to Industry/Packaging/Sustainability would be hugely beneficial, but not essential.
