Midday Supervisor

**Role Profile and Person Specification**
**Job Title**:Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA)

**Responsible to**:Head teacher (Key Stage Leaders in their absence)

**Overall Responsibility**

Support the Head teacher / Senior Midday Supervisor, to ensure the safety and well-being of pupils and lunch time.

**Duties**
- Support the needs and wellbeing of children in classrooms and outside in order to ensure the safety of everyone.
- Ensure lunchtime is a positive experience for the children.
- Encourage good eating habits and assisting children where necessary.
- Maintaining a safe lunch environment, e.g. wiping up spillages to ensure a safe and ordered environment is maintained.
- Supervision of movement of children to and from classroom and toilets.
- Support positive play outside through the modelling of and supporting playtime games.
- Ensure relevant teachers are informed if a there is a reason to bring a child to their attention (illness, injury or other issues that might need to be communicated).
- Have a clear knowledge of the safeguarding procedures in school and be confident to follow these.

1. Be aware of the responsibility for personal Health, Safety and Welfare and that of others who may be affected by your actions or inactions.

2. Co-operate with the employer on all issues to do with Health, Safety & Welfare.

**Continuing Professional Development**

1. In conjunction with the line manager, take responsibility for personal professional development, keeping up
- to-date with developments related to school efficiency, which may lead to improvements in the day-to-day running of the school.

2. Undertake any necessary professional development as identified in the School Improvement Plan taking full advantage of any relevant training and development available.

Part-time hours: 6.25 per week

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
