**Job Summary**:
The Cashier Sales is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring all sales transactions are completed in a timely manner.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers and answer customer questions
- Process sales in a timely manner, ensuring that customer payments are complete, inventory is correct, and no customer complaints are left.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and staff
- Provide accurate information regarding cash handling procedures, pricing, and ordering when necessary.
- Answer any questions customers may have regarding product features or specific questions about the cashier position or the store.
- Handle customer complaints in a timely manner, ensuring that customer payments are complete, inventory is correct, and no customer complaints are left.
- Follow procedures for opening and closing of store when required.

**Stay up-to-date with industry changes and improve existing procedures.**

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a cashier, cashier helper, or similar role.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment including POS systems. (Washington wine and conveniance offers training to all new employees)
- Ability to work well in team environments with different personalities.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Professional attitude along with excellent customer service skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £7.20-£11.00 per hour
