**Reporting to: Lead Engineer**

**Nature of the Position: Permanent Full-Time**

**Location: Portlethen, Aberdeen**

**Role Overview**:
This is an entry level role and as such involves training and development in all areas appropriate to the role, including the creation and amendment of drawings, bills of materials, and otherwise contributing to the output of the Engineering department. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, trainees will gain on the job experience, develop technical and non-technical skills, and contribute to projects/sales orders.

The job holder will be expected to work on a wide variety of equipment types ranging from pressure control, skid based hydraulics, downhole tools and ancillaries as directed. Attention to detail and a systematic approach are essential. The role requires that the jobholder can work accurately and follow instructions with appropriate guidance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Creating and modifying drawings, including assembly drawings
- 3D modelling of new and existing designs, creating new and modifying existing
- Creating and modifying bills of materials and other required documentation
- Supporting the generation of manuals and other technical documentation
- Creating images and models for other departments as requested e.g. purchasing, production or marketing teams
- Supporting presentations and other media by generating appropriate images/renders

**Qualifications/Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**
- Fast learner
- Interested in engineering, design and hands on aspects of the role
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English

**Desirable**
- HNC in Engineering
- Proficient in using 2D or 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor
- Full UK Driving Licence

- Good communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
- Highly professional conduct
- Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home
- Team working
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and give/receive constructive feedback
