A temporary vacancy has become available to assist the New Payroll Controller in diverse tasks and projects. Handle P11D forms, pension payments, and additional special assignments aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the payroll process and ensuring adherence to tax and legal regulations.
The role of a Payroll Assistant
Process employees' P11D forms and submit them to HM Revenue and Customs.
Calculate and handle pension payments for employees, coordinating with pension providers as necessary.
Aid the Payroll Controller in executing and overseeing special projects, including payroll audits, system upgrades, process enhancements, etc.
Provide support for additional requests from the Payroll Controller or Finance Manager.
Address and resolve payroll-related queries and issues raised by employees and managers.
Proficiency in Payroll, knowledge of HMRC rules, familiarity with GDPR regulations, and understanding of statutory requirements.
Previous experience in a similar role for Payroll and Administration.
Entry-level qualification from IPP (Institute of Payroll Professionals) or an equivalent certification would be beneficial.
