**Requirements**:

- Must have a minimum Level 3 Full and Relevant Qualification in Early Years Childcare & Education
- Childcare experience is preferable
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and child development
- Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
- Caring
- Passionate about delivering high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities
- Work well within a team and in partnership with parents.

Key responsibilities
- To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met
- To complete outstanding quality records of your key children’s development and learning journeys, observations and planning to meet all children’s individual needs. To share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
- To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting
- To have respect for all children and for their social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic backgrounds, and to be fully committed to raising their educational achievements
- Act as a role model to the children
- To create an environment where children develop a strong positive self-image
- Be aware and respond appropriately to individual children’s needs
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children and families
- To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children in the workplace
- To be aware of Health & Safety codes of practice and implement and comply with them
- Contribute to the Nursery’s ethos, aims and development / improvement plan.
