Are you passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young learners? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Supervisor to join our team at Oakwell Children's Nursery.
Oakwell Children’s Nursery is a fantastic nursery looking after children from birth to attending Primary School. In partnership with West Lothian Council we offer pre-school funding which in turn regulates a very high standard of delivery. We are currently recruiting a passionate, hardworking and experienced Room Supervisor to join our fantastic team at Oakwell Children’s Nursery on a full-time basis. You would benefit from working your hours over 4 days with one flexible day off each week.

The successful practitioner will have the following qualifications, training and experience:
- Minimum HNC/SVQ3 in a relevant childcare qualification and registered with SSSC.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a childcare setting
- Experience of planning, observations and assessments.
- A good sound knowledge of Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence and GIRFEC.
Desirable experience/qualifications:
- Working towards/gained SVQ4 or equivalent/further childcare qualification
- Supervisor/Senior experience
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of practitioners in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Report to senior management and attend weekly supervisor meetings
- Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Monitor children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with parents, addressing concerns and sharing insights into children's growth.
- Mentor students and Modern Apprentices

**Salary**: £13 per hour
Working Pattern: 40 hours spread out over 4 days, with 1 day off per week (Flexible). Hours will be 8am-6pm
