Audio Medical Secretary

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and meticulous Medical Secretary to provide outstanding support for the UK’s leading Pathology provider based in the heart of central London on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with proven medical secretarial skills to join our well established, friendly Cellular Pathology reporting team.

This role will help you cement and progress your existing experience working within the healthcare sector. Main duties of the job will include providing a high quality, proactive and effective secretarial/administrative service to the consultants and registrarswithin the diagnostic team under the supervision of the Office Manager. You will be asked to undertake a range of administrative and secretarial duties, such as transcribing of dictation, report typing and telephone queries.

This includes audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material, reports etc (Including information of a sensitive nature, whilst maintaining confidentiality. Generating reports for Cellular pathology cases.

You will be handling private and confidential material at all times so you must have a professional and mature attitude towards this role.
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM is essential.
- 3-5 years previous medical secretarial/PA experience within a similar environment
- Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good medical terminology.
- Audio typing
- Able to multi-task and able to deal with a heavy workload
