Trident, a leading MSP (Managed Service Provider) based in the Southeast, seeks a driven and dynamic professional to join our team as a Senior Technical Consultant.

With over 30 years of experience, our team of business and technical consultants possess exceptional knowledge, drive, and passion. We pride ourselves on delivering exciting and impactful technology business-to-business and maintain high-level partner relations with top industry suppliers, including Microsoft, Dell, SonicWall and Cisco Meraki.

As our company experiences rapid growth and looks toward future expansion, this position will continue to fulfil current and ongoing exciting projects and give an excellent opportunity for the individual to explore new and emerging technologies.

This role sits in the technical team, reporting to the Technical Manager, and has accountability for providing ongoing support to ensure the successful delivery of our products and services in alignment with the IT and business strategy.

They must have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their requirements, and provide them with exceptional experiences. This role requires a combination of expert technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication. A flair for customer service and the ability to put the customer experience first while maintaining a good awareness of the commercial element of the role.

The **Senior Technical Consultant’s** core responsibilities within the designated department are:

- Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process.
- Responsible for actively driving and managing the presales process with direct and channel
- Articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical teams about capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on proposal activities.
- Attend meetings with prospective and existing customers to determine technical and business requirements whilst ensuring that all required information is collated prior to producing a solution.
- Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes, seeking guidance from the Solutions Architect team on best practice and suitability.
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally.
- Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to Business Managers & channel partners.
- Provide onsite project management and leadership for larger IT installation projects.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including proposals, diagrams, and specifications.
- Work with the internal sales team to develop and execute projects to drive pipeline and close deals.
- Continued assessment of security, Integrity, and availability both internally and in part of Trident’s service.
- Continued assessment of regulatory and compliance requirements for both Trident and its clients.
- Working to ISO 27001, 14001 and 9001 requirements along with Trident's operating procedures.
- Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.).
- Microsoft 365 (implementation, administration, and support) including Exchange Online Online Protection, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (InTune and AutoPilot); and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Microsoft Azure configuration, administration, and support.
- Configuration, administration and support of VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Networking principles including VLAN’s, LAGS, VPN's and routing.
- Microsoft Office components such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. support.
- Configuration, administration and support of Firewall products such as SonicWALL, PaloAlto, Fortinet and WatchGuard.
- Backup & disaster recovery solutions such as StorageCraft, Veeam and N-Able, etc.
- A flair for troubleshooting, communication, and exceptional customer service.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content.
- Be flexible and adaptable to situations and changing requirements.
- Excellent task and time management.
- MSP experience and a relevant IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or a Microsoft qualification.
- Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process.
