**Job Description**:
Are you an experienced Primary HLTA looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about maintaining the emotional wellbeing of the children you support?
An exciting Primary HLTA role has become available, supporting the SEMH needs of pupils across all year groups.
** Primary HLTA
** Ofsted ‘Good’ school located in North-East Birmingham
** Long-term role, working full time
** Primary HLTA position, starting immediately
** £90 - £100 per day
The Primary HLTA Role:
As a Primary HLTA, your main role will be supporting children’s social, emotional, and mental health both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Supporting the pastoral requirements of the pupils will be your priority, and you should begin building mentorship relationships with the children. As a Primary HLTA, you will run sessions on SEMH coping mechanisms and skills to support pupils with their wellbeing. You will also provide some in-class support, assisting teachers with managing behaviour and supporting children with their work.
The Primary HLTA:
For this Primary HLTA position, you must have a Level 3 Primary HLTA qualification and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of pastoral support and SEMH needs. You should have a calm, compassionate personality and be able to build a good rapport with the pupils you support. As a Primary HLTA, you will have experience working with children aged 4 - 11, and be able to communicate effectively depending on the needs of the child.
