The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for purchasing and so we are looking for someone who has excellent organisation and negotiation skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Sourcing and procurement of materials, components, equipment and parts against designs and bills of materials.
- Negotiating price/cost for materials which includes sending enquiries, collating and
reviewing quotes.
- Organising travel and accommodation for our projects
- Maintaining the purchasing management systems
- Meeting with suppliers’ representatives to build rapport.
- Supplier performance review
- Feedback of information to estimating department.
- Attending contract handover meetings.
- Attending regular project meetings.
Other ad hoc administration duties.
**The Ideal Person**
- GCSE Maths grade B or above
- GCSE English grade C or above
- Strong negotiation skills
- Supplier relationship management skills
- Structured and organised
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
- Third level education or equivalent
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
