We are currently recruiting for Parcel Sorters for one of the UKs most recognised and loved postal services at their depot in Peterlee.

Pay rates:
£11.99 per hour 06:00 - 22:00 (Monday - Friday)

£12.99 per hour 14:00 - 22:00(Monday - Saturday)

£14.49 per hour - 22:00 - 06:00 (Monday - Saturday)

This role will be an immediate start once vetting is complete and is expected to last 4 weeks potentially longer depending on volumes. The following shift patterns are available:
Dayshift 6am - 2pm Tuesday - Friday

Backshift 2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday

Nightshift 10pm - 6am Monday - Friday

In the mail centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. You could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. It is a fast-paced environment and you'll be working to efficient methods in order to meet our business performance targets. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you'll be a valuable part of making that happen. As a Parcel Sorter you will need to be flexible and adaptable, changing from one role to another to move the work quickly along the processing chain.

There is some additional vetting information to provide to be placed into this role, this can all be input online however you will need the following documents to be considered for this position:
Proof of right to work (passport or birth certificate)

Proof of your National Insurance Number

Proof of address (within the last 3 months)

You also much be able to provide 5 year work and address history, alongside passing a basic DBS check.
