**About the school or department**

You’ll be part of the Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment (CMSR) Department that is responsible for a range of university-wide services and acts as the university's brand champion to deliver marketing and corporate communications to a wide range of stakeholders. A fundamental part of CMSR's remit is to work in partnership with academic schools to recruit students. Our student recruitment function comprises of: Student Recruitment, Schools Liaison and Outreach, Admissions and Applicant Experience and International. Together these teams work with schools to deliver on the university’s recruitment objectives for undergraduate, postgraduate and international as well as meet our widening participation objectives.

CMSR also includes teams responsible for managing the external website; design and digital content creation; campaign management and cycle activity; media liaison via the press office; corporate social media; internal comms for students; corporate events; alumni relations; and external stakeholder management.

**About the role**

Working within the Schools Liaison and Outreach Team and as part of the Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment department, you will provide an important role building relationships with target schools and colleges predominantly in the South West and West Midlands to support student recruitment and widening participation targets.

You will have excellent organisational and administration skills to plan and organise attendance at higher education (HE) fairs in schools and colleges to raise awareness of studying at university and, in particular, at the University of Gloucestershire.

You will have excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to providing pre-entry advice and guidance at HE fairs and through presentations and workshops to a range of students and their advisers/parents/carers.

As part of this role you will also be responsible for the management and integrity of the data in our Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) system, through overseeing the coordination, collection, storage and tracking of data obtained via outreach interventions, whilst also ensuring GDPR compliance.

In addition you will be required to analyse a series of metrics to evidence the impact of outreach activities undertaken and how this contributes to achieving the university access targets as set out in the Access and ParticipationPlan (APP).

Experience of university life or studying in a Higher Education context is essential, as is a proactive ‘can do’ attitude and ability to use initiative.
