**The Opportunity**

We are now recruiting a Principal Piping Designer as a permanent full-time role to support our engineering offices in Stockton.

The Principal Piping Designer is responsible for providing delivery of defined engineering tasks for different projects to the highest standards complying with legal obligations and client requirements. In addition, the role involves supporting the development of proposals for new business opportunities, provision of consultancy services and project management. To provide professional engineering support to the project teams both in the UK and overseas to deliver innovative engineering solutions to clients in a manner consistent with their requirements.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Qualifications - ONC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in Concept, Front End Engineering development, Technical Study and Detailed Design
- Knowledge of Quality systems
- Knowledge of safe approach in design and working practices
- Experience in designs to comply with the relevant standards and procedures
- Experience of inputting to project plans and schedules via the Lead engineer / Project Engineer accordingly
- Excellent communications with clients
- Experience in site surveys.
- Experience in 2D AutoCad Software
- Previous experience producing 3D models using AutoCad Plant 3D.
- Ability to produce 2D Piping and Equipment plot plans from Plant 3D model.
