If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you. We are recruiting a Rough Sleeping Resettlement Officer, which is a customer facing role within the Council’s Housing Service.

The post holder will act as a keyworker for a specific group of rough sleepers, working in a personalised way and coordinating support from a range of other services to ensure long term outcomes around housing, health and ETE (Education, Training and Employment) are achieved for individuals.

An advantage to this model is that we can be creative and flexible, working to find new and sustainable routes off the streets for individuals who are or have been rough sleeping. The team work holistically, identifying root causes of prolonged rough sleeping and working with customers and other agencies to develop creative, person-centred, sustainable pathways to recovery.

The customers you will be working with will have histories which involve prolonged or repeat episodes of rough sleeping as well as complex issues around alcohol, drug use, mental illness, offending and/or physical health issues.

The post holder will have demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable people, ideally from street to home, and will need to be confident at building relationships and advocating for their customers with a variety of agencies.

This is a flexible shift pattern role working 37 hours a week including some unsociable hours.
