Metrology Apprentice

We are a well-established multiple location electrical test instrument calibration, service and repair business. We currently have an apprenticeship-based vacancy for a highly motivated individual in our expanding Calibration Department at our head office in the Newcastle-Under-Lyme area.

The Calibration Apprentice role is office based but will require travelling to an education centre for one day a week. The apprenticeship will involve a formal qualification in metrology principles / electrical engineering on day release basis and workplace training on the practicalities and principles of calibration. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

As well as an education centre based qualification, vocational based training will be given with regular progress meeting and goals set. You will be working within a team of calibration and repair engineers who are a mix of office based and onsite personnel and you will be reporting into the the Calibration Laboratory Manager day to day.
