Yard Assistant

To support the yard manager in the daily running of the yard and logistics.
- Ensuring that the racking of finished products are stored correctly for collection/delivery.
- Ensuring that all customer orders are correctly loaded onto the delivery van, all products are correctly and safety loaded and all relevant information is presented to the delivery driver prior to delivery.
- Maintain the control of waste, ensuring that only products relating to the company are disposed of, and reporting to the Operations assistant when changeovers are needed.
- Organising the Glass Shed and ensure that any breakages or shortages are reported to the office.
- Store and stock check panels, ensuring that low stock levels are reported to the Production Manager.
- Ensure the highest possible standards of quality control.
- Resolve any problems arising or any complaints received.
- Maintain the yard in a clean, tidy and organised state.
- Undertake routine inspections of all areas to ensure they are safe and arrange for maintenance and repairs as may be needed.
- Must have a clean driving licence, as company deliveries will be required
- Accept delivery of glass
- Carry out any other duties as are reasonably required from time to time by the company.
