Job Title: Assistant Play Worker

**Duties**:

- Supervise and engage children in various play activities
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for children to learn and have fun
- Plan and organize age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities
- Assist with snack time and ensure dietary restrictions are followed
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a positive atmosphere
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the play area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of play equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

- A Level 2 in education or care or equivalent qualification as defined by the registering authority (CIW).
- Hold a valid, enhanced DBS check
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or recreational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with patience and empathy
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but not required
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential
