Oxford, United Kingdom Cumnor Pre-school Nursery Full time

You will need a fun, warm and nurturing disposition, and truly want to give the children in our care the best possible experience. Your role will involve having lots of fun, with some planned activities, but mainly following children's initiated learning. You will need to be spontaneous but also to support the routines of the Pre-school.

**Days/Hours required**:
Monday 8.45 - 3.30pm

Tuesday 8.45 - 3.30pm

Wednesday 8.45 - 3.30pm

**Salary**:£10.42 - £11.67 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

**Essential Criteria**:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good standard of written and spoken English
- To enjoy working as part of a close team of practitioners
- To be able to form appropriate relationships and be able to communicate well with adults and children
- To have a positive attitude, be well organised, flexible and enthusiastic.
- To have a high degree of professionalism, including knowing the importance of confidentiality
- To be adaptable and flexible to changing situations
- To be able and willing to work on your own initiative when necessary
- To understand and support the importance of safeguarding
- To have the ability to respond to children’s needs, interests and development
- To be able to support and extend children’s all-round development through a stimulating and challenging environment both inside and out
- To have a commitment to equal opportunities and to respond to each individual child and family including children with differing needs in the setting

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Previous experience working directly with 2 - 4 year old children
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification which is ‘full and relevant’
- Other relevant Early Years qualifications
- Knowledge of the new EYFS and child development
- Paediatric First Aid
