We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technical team as one of our QA’s at our Nicholas & Harris site as part of ‘Finsbury Food Group’. Nicholas & Harris has over 180 years of heritage in craft baking methods. If you like artisanal, organic and speciality breads, or have special dietary or nutritional preferences, our Salisbury bakery has you covered

As QA, you’ll be responsible for accurate completion of assurance checks throughout the process of producing our tasty products before they are sent to our major retail customers; such as Tesco, ASDA and Waitrose.

It would be great If you have previous experience working within a Food Manufacturing environment and have a food safety qualification under your belt, but it’s absolutely not essential as full training will be given. **This is what you’ll actually do**:
Our QA’s work as part of the wider on-site Technical team at Nicholas & Harris, reporting into our QA Lead. You will conduct and record results on a daily, weekly and monthly basis conducting various routine checks such as: weight scale records, temperature probes calibration and refrigeration equipment as well as on the spot checks too.

You will play a vital role in ensuring our products are of the highest quality. On a daily basis you will prepare, conduct and record results from our taste panel using the opportunity to sample products and oversee the quality coming out of the bakery reporting any problems to the factory management team in a timely and clear way.

As a food manufacturer, it is important we continue to meet our legal requirements and customer’s expectations through demonstrating good hygienic practices which ensure our products are made in the very best conditions. You will support our commitment to this by completing audits of Good Manufacturing Practices, Critical Control Points, Traceability and checking daily production records to demonstrate our due diligence. You will also carry out hygiene checks on equipment and hand hygiene, carry out allergen swabs and prepare samples to send to the laboratory for testing.

You will be expected to follow our company and customers rules and requirements including Food safety, Health & Safety and demonstrate our Finsbury Food Group values of Teamwork, Ownership, Communication, Honesty and Respect.

**Ideally this is you**:

- Previous experience within a Food Manufacturing environment
- Level 2, Food Safety Qualified
- IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Confident in problem solving and analysing products
- Able to understand, collate and analyse data
