**Salary**:Band 4 £27598 - £30019 plus £1591.56 High Secure Environmental Allowance per annum, plus £3819.96 High Secure Clinical Responsibility Allowance per annum (Pro Rata)

**Hours**:Full Time - 37.5***

**Post details**:A vacancy has arisen for a Vocational Activity Instructor primarily to be based within the Garden & Animal Assisted Therapy Centre, located in the Skye Centre. The post-holder will work as part of a team providing therapeutic horticultural and support the delivery of animal care and therapy activities for the patients. The role involves working closely with the Senior Vocational Activity Instructor and Charge Nurse, to provide activity and interventions that are beneficial for the improvement of the patients’ mental health and contribute to their care and treatment plan. The post holder will be expected to support the provision of vocational qualifications for the patients in horticulture and/or related topics

The post-holder will be expected to be flexible in their approach and may be deployed to work in other activity centres across the service or designated activity areas throughout the campus

**Experience/Qualifications**:We are looking for a person who has a keen interest in horticulture and animal therapy and is motivated to develop their skills and knowledge in order to deliver these activities within a therapeutic environment.

You will be qualified to HNC level or have relevant technical/educational qualifications such as City and Guilds or SVQ.
