**Key Designer responsibilities**:

- Accountable for creating trend led ranges within the team based on the client’s specifications, working closely with Account Managers to fulfil customer briefs.
- Commercially aware of current trends and themes, developing the brand and working with production to ensure all products are designed and manufactured in line with the brands direction and critical path within sometimes tight deadlines.
- Working as part of the design team to provide an effective and efficient service to various areas of the business.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to develop new ranges. This will include attending sales meetings with customers and suppliers.
- Confidence to present and lead customer meetings through Design/trend and product.
- Supporting the business in adding value to its clients, understanding and researching new product development opportunities.
- Share knowledge of manufacturing process and techniques.

**Key Skills / Experiences**:

- The successful applicants will have 4 to 5 years knitwear design experience within a fashion retailer/ apparel for the designer roles, assistant designer roles may be considered with less experience
- Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials and yarns.
- Target driven with a passion for fashion and the confidence to grow and develop.
- Ability to produce technical sheets for manufacturing products.
- Flexible with working hours including overtime and travel.
- Strong CAD, illustrator and Canva skills
- Digital approach to working processes
- Good communication skills, time management and presentation skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Manchester
