**This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week. The role offers the opportunity for smart (hybrid) working. We are flexible around the time spent working from home and on campus.**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Public Relations Officer to join our busy Corporate Communications and Public Affairs team.

The aim of this role is to raise the profile of and protect and enhance the reputation of the University of Westminster. You will work closely with many different teams across the University, including our academics, promoting their new research, our students and our alumni as well as many other partners and stakeholders in and out of the University.

You will be a key member of the small and busy PR team assisting with the researching, implementation and monitoring of all our PR projects, including campaigns to support our student recruitment and showcase all the University has to offer. You will raise public awareness of the University and generate positive media coverage in a range of ways including creating daily news items for our University website, responding to incoming media enquiries, identifying where our academic experts might comment on the news agenda, promoting our public event series and supporting colleagues and students with broadcast media engagement. This multi-faceted role needs someone proactive and imaginative, who can seek out new stories, and can be passionate about developing pitches and building their own media network.

You will be working with a professional, dynamic and supportive team with a busy workload in a vibrant and progressive University.
