We are a family run Day Nursery looking for a Third in Charge to join our management team, supporting the day to day running of our busy nursery, whilst ensuring high quality care and education is provided. We are open all year round Monday to Friday, only closing on bank holidays.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is passionate about childcare and is looking to take the next steps in their career. You must have a good knowledge of child development and a sound understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage.

On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in the running of a nursery room, inspiring the team, developing stimulating nursery environments, in which children can play, develop, and learn. You’ll also start taking responsibility for other areas within the nursery and supporting the management team.

Whether it’s having responsibility for holding a meeting with a parent, helping with a training session or locking up the nursery at the end of the day, we’ll be there to support you every step of the way, making sure you’re confident in what you do and steadily developing the skills and experience you need to make the jump into a full-time management role.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
Opening/closing the nursery
Carrying out show round of the nursery
Tracking children’s progress
A variety of administration duties
Attending senior team meetings and staff meetings
Staff development
Supervision of staff
Supervision and interaction with children
Supervision of mealtimes
Observations, planning and assessment
Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of the children at all times
Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in times of need
Helping the senior leadership team in providing a warm and stimulating environment

**Qualifications and Skills**
Full and relevant early years qualifications (NVQ/Diploma/BTEC) level 3 or higher
Experience working as a Senior Team Leader
Strong leadership and communication skills and a team player
Outstanding knowledge of EYFS and all elements of supporting high Ofsted requirements
Able to liaise with and develop good relationships with parents

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
