Yard Person

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Person to join our team, working 16 hours per week across 4 days from Tuesday to Friday. As a Yard Person, you will be responsible for various duties related to warehouse management, materials handling, and general yard maintenance. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge.

**Duties**:

- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials within the yard
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and locate items
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes
- Perform general maintenance tasks in the yard, such as cleaning and organizing
- Build and assemble materials as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

**Skills**:

- Experience with loading and unloading materials
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely
- Strong materials handling skills
- Mechanical knowledge for basic repairs and maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
- Knowledge of warehouse operations

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour
