CNC Setter

Job title: CNC Setter

Pay: - £31k - £40k per year
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Temp - Perm / Perm
A Manufacturing company based in Evesham are looking for a CNC Setter on a permanent basis on day or night shift, Monday to Friday. The company themselves supply a range of products to household names and private companies.
As a CNC Setter you will be responsible for:

- Set up and operate machines, such as lathes, cutters, shears, borers, millers, grinders, presses, drills, or auxiliary machines, to make metallic and plastic workpieces.
- Inspect workpieces for defects, and measure workpieces to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments.
- Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.
- Start machines and turn handwheels or valves to engage feeding, cooling, and lubricating mechanisms.
- Select, install, and adjust alignment of drills, cutters, dies, guides, and holding devices, using templates, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
- Move controls or mount gears, cams, or templates in machines to set feed rates and cutting speeds, depths, and angles.
As a CNC Setter you will be required to:

- Have previous experience working as a CNC Programmer/Setter.
- Requisite knowledge of the machinery, tools, equipment, and materials common to the role
- To demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role
- Ability to interpret and work to Engineering drawings is required for the role of CNC Setter.
- Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision.
